GUILFORD and MILLINOCKET – Raymond Thomas Leet Sr., 61, died Dec. 11, 2008, at his home in Guilford. He was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Millinocket, the son of James and Bernice (Astle) Leet. Raymond attended Stearns High School, then joined the Army and did two tours in Vietnam. He worked for Great Northern Paper Co., for 20 years and then became a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Gifford) Leet of Guilford; a son, Raymond Leet Jr. of Lincoln; a daughter, Lori Vosine and her husband, Troy, of Chester; two stepchildren, Clint Rudge and his wife, Vel, of Millinocket and Lynn Marie Green and her husband, Cary, of Island Falls; a twin brother, Robert Leet and his wife, Priscilla, of Millinocket; three sisters, Lydia Willey and her husband, Millard, of Milo, Susan Burke and her husband, Bill, of Millinocket and Lynn Allen and her husband, Melvin, of Florida; grandchildren, Zachary Leet, Max Vosine, Matthew Vosine, Ashley Parent, Jenessa Willey, Devin Rudge and Derek Atkinson; two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Amber Parent; and a special uncle, Raymond “Sonny” Astle of Millinocket. He was loved very much by his family and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. Visiting hours will be held 1 p.m. until the time of service.
