MILLINOCKET – Rosalie I. Clark, 79, passed away Dec. 12, 2008. She was born Aug. 3, 1929, to Allan and Jessie Picard. She graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1946. She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She then moved to Detroit, where she worked for the Childrens Aid Society until 1969, at which time she moved to Cape Coral, Fla., for many years, until she moved back to Millinocket in 2003. She was predeceased by husband, Durwood Clark; her parents, Allen and Jessie Picard; sisters, Janice Tasker and Lorraine Caruso; and brothers, Terry Picard and Allen Picard. She is survived by a brother, John “Jack” Picard and wife, Doreen; three sisters, Ann Carter and husband, Dudley, of Millinocket, Priscilla “Diddy” Barker and husband, Henry, of East Millinocket and Jane Picard of North Hampton, Mass.; many nieces, nephews and special friends; and a very dear friend, Mary Schmidt of Cape Coral, Fla. She attended Millinocket Baptist Church, where visiting hours will be held 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, and services will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalie’s memory to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462 or Millinocket Baptist Church.
