BANGOR – Lila Pendleton Thayer of 17 G St., Bangor, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. She was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Islesboro, the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Dodge) Pendleton. She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward of California, Ivan of Illinois and Joseph of Connecticut. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Merritt; two sons, David Thayer and his wife, Yvette, of Columbia, Mo., and Gary Thayer of Bangor; and two grandchildren, Laura Thayer of Alaska and Richard Merritt of Ohio. There will be no service and burial will be private.
