GARLAND and WINTHROP Inez M. Brown, 79, passed away peacefully Dec. 22, 2008, after a long illness, with her family at her side at Winthrop Manor. She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Oakland, a daughter of Ernest and Ermina (Perkins) Brown, and attended Oakland schools. Inez was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Garland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid Beano player. She also enjoyed crafts, country music, canning and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1990; a son, Sterling, in 2005; and a daughter, Brenda, in 1966. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Ernest Jr. “Jake” and Crosby “Peanut” Brown; and a sister, Louise Wishart. She is survived by a son, Stephen and wife, Becky Brown, of Corinna; three daughters, Sheila and husband, Chuck Taylor, of Marlboro, Mass., Cynthia and husband, George Estabrook, of Winthrop, Paula and husband, Daniel Little, of Falmouth; 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandson. She will also be missed by friends, cousins, an aunt and neighbors. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held 5 p.m. with Pastor A. Maurice Neal officiating.
