MONSON – Kenneth J. Shore, 81, went home to be with the Lord, Dec. 29, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hos-pital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Boston. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the service, he became a welder and later worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Paul Revere Masonic Lodge, Massachusetts; VFW Post No. 8835, Winslow; and American Legion Post No. 116, Monson. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Pfister) Shore of Monson; six children; and four grandchildren, Ashley Pina, Jason Pina, Christopher Pina and Michael Pina, all of Monson. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Dexter, with burial at the Maine Memorial Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta.
