SEARSPORT – Juanita E. Seekins, 76, died Jan. 9, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at Waldo County General Hospital. She was born April 27, 1932, daughter of the late Walter and Helen Moulton. She was predeceased by her husband, Preston “Bud” L. Seekins Sr.; her sisters, Helen (Petty) Smith, Sylvia Dyer and Nancy Leach; and one brother, Donald Moulton. She was a very loving mother to Preston L. and Vicki Seekins Jr., Dennis and Sharon Seekins, Peter and Leana Seekins, Diane and Hillard Gilmore, Angela Nevells and Alan Crocker; grandmother to Michelle and Terry, Mari-Jo and Gene, Sarah and Kurt, Neil and Kristen, Jason and Michelle, Adam, Jeffrey and Hillary; great-grandmother to Victoria, Brooklynn, Jordan, Devin, Chad, Caleb and Brianna. She is survived by her sisters, Ivy, Alta and Johnnie; brothers, Walter and Shirleen, Ronald and Faye, Larry and Madonna; in-laws, Payson and Natalie, Pearley and Joan, Phil, Paul, who predeceased her, and Joan; nieces, nephews and special friends at Tall Pines. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15. A committal service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Waldo County General Hospital Hospice or Tall Pines Activities Fund.
