DETROIT – Geraldine I. Wallace, 82, died Jan. 18, 2009, at her residence. She was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Wellington, a daughter of Leland and Viola (Reardon) Pike. She was employed for 45 years at Northeast Shoe and San Antonio Shoe, retiring in April 2008. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Wallace; a daughter, Linda and husband, David Lavimodiere, all of Detroit; two brothers, Clair and wife, Pluma Pike, of Wellington, and Carroll and wife, Penny Pike, of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Shawn and wife, Lisa Bickford, of Etna, and Gabrielle and husband, Donnie Tibbetts, of Garland; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie; and three brothers, Glenn, Carle and Jessie Pike. Geraldine will be missed by her many friends and neighbors. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at her home, 508 Troy Road, Detroit. Spring funeral and committal services will be held at Pittsfield Village Cemetery with Pastor Rosendo Longoria officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
