GRAND ISLE – Roger R. Gendreau, 62, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at his residence. He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Lille, the son of Conrad and Gladys (Gendreau) Gendreau. Roger is survived by his mother, Gladys Gendreau of Van Buren; one daughter, Donna Perreault and her husband, Mark, of Van Buren; two sons, Dean Gendreau and his wife, Megan, of Madawaska, and Andy Gendreau and his wife, Kim, of Van Buren; six grandsons, Alex, Craig, Eric, Max, Luc and Adam; two brothers, Donald Gendreau and his wife, Karen, of Van Buren, and Mark Gendreau and his wife, Paula, of Madawaska; one sister, Rita Chasse and her husband, Gerald, of Grand Isle; several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his father, Conrad, in 2001; his loving wife, Louiselle Gendreau, in 2005; and also by his sister and her husband, Betty and Armand Sirois. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska. Spring interment will be at the parish cemetery.
