ENFIELD – Dirk W. Sutherland, 34, died Jan. 20, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1974, in Lincoln, the son of Barrie and Joyce (Doane) Sutherland. He looked forward to every weekend, as he picked up his daughter, Bailey. They both enjoyed spending time with each other. Dirk enjoyed driving truck and was a real hard worker. He loved the card game Texas Hold Em.’ Dirk had a heart of gold. He was always a giving person, even in death he continued to give as an organ donor. He will be missed by all who ever came in contact with him. In addition to his parents of Enfield, he is survived by his daughter, Bailey Sutherland of Lincoln; two sisters, Robin Chase of Farmington and Julie Moeller of Turner; a brother, Hoyt Sutherland of Hanover, N.H.; a grandmother, Marion Doane of Enfield; uncles, Gerald and Joanne Doane, Myron and Edna Doane, and Milton and Polly Doane; special cousins, Julie Ireland, Wendy Jones, Paula Carter, Paul Doane and Peter Doane; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves the light of his life, Kasia Moffett. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating.
