WEATOGUE, Conn. – Susan J. Lewis-Brooks, 54, loving wife of Michael Brooks, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at her home. Susan was born Aug. 1, 1954, in Houlton, daughter of the late William and Helen (Corrigan) Lewis. Susan was a graduate of Saint Michaels College and worked many years for Aetna and Travelers. She is survived by her beloved son, John M. Brooks of West Hartford, Conn.; her sisters, Ann Kyriacou of Hanover, Pa., Rose Mary Irwin of Middleboro, Mass., Cathy Humphrey of Rochester, N.Y., Jane Harrington of Wilbraham, Mass., and Jude Hogan of Hamilton, Mass.; two brothers, William Lewis of Woburn, Mass., and Fred Lewis of Lowell, Mass.; numerous nieces and nephews. May God give her peaceful repose in his blessed arms in recognition of all that she endured on earth, always with character, dignity, hope and grace.
