BREWER – Judith A. “Judy” Foster, 64, died Jan. 24, 2009, at a Bangor health care center. She was born April 8, 1944, in Bangor, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (Dinsmore) Smith. Judy worked for Myerowitz Chiropractic Center, Bangor, for 10 years and recently worked for Catholic Charities of Maine, St. Michael’s Center, Bangor, for several years. She was a past matron of Tuscan Chapter No. 148, Order of the Eastern Star, Bangor. She is survived by two children, Donna J. Fitzgerald and her husband, Garrett, of Brewer and Jeni L. Hammond and David of Albion; three granddaughters, Shayna Perry of Albion and Ael and Erin Fitzgerald, both of Brewer; a brother, Edward Smith Jr. and his wife, Pat, of Middletown, Conn.; one sister, Donna Weimer and her husband, Brent, of Norwich, Conn.; one niece, Kathy Bartkowski and her husband, Doug, of Colchester, Conn.; three nephews, Chris Weimer and his wife, Rachelle, of Salem, Conn., Bobby Smith and his wife, Sue, of East Haddam , Conn., and Ricky Smith and his wife, Dawn, of Colchester, Conn.; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Arthur and May (Sherman) Dinsmore; infant siblings, Annie and Charles; an uncle, Wallace Dinsmore; an aunt, Annetta (Dinsmore) Brooks; an uncle, Leslie Dinsmore; and her special uncle, Carroll Dinsmore. She will be remembered by several close friends from St. Michael’s Center and especially by a dear friend, Arline Stearns. Family and friends may visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a service in honor of her life will begin 1 p.m. with the Rev. Virgil Phinney, presiding. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
