CHERRYFIELD – Ardelle Marice (Grant) Kelley died unexpectedly Jan. 25, 2009. She was born in Cherryfield, the youngest of three children to Mansir and Josie Grant. Ardelle was known for her love of all animals, birds and feeding the stray cats in her neighborhood. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ardelle is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Kelley; only daughter, Beth Moss and her husband, Robert, of Cherryfield; one sister, Gertrude Ashby and her husband, Don, of Lubec; one sister-in-law, Josephine Grant of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind a special cat, her yellow and white, “Heidi Buttercup.” She is also survived by many friends, including Sara Tucker, Charles and Erma Marius, and Mary Seavey; a dear friend and cousin, Betty Martin; and a lifelong friend, Minerva Crocker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Virgil Mansir Grant. A funeral service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Harrington.
