FORT KENT – Anthony James Hodgkin, 8 years old, died Jan. 26, 2009, in Fort Kent, as the result of an accident. Anthony was born April 26, 2000, in Biddeford, the son of Shawn and Melissa (Plourde) Hodgkin. On this day God decided he needed an extra glow to brighten up the place he has prepared for us all. Therefore he chose a special little boy who radiated sunshine to all. A.J. had that little spark that would ignite towards all who were privileged to have known him. Therefore he chose to come get him on the hour of his divine mercy, between 3 and 4 p.m. He was a happy, loving little boy that made everybody smile when he was in their presence. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is survived by his mother, Melissa Hodgkin and her fiance, Sidney Ames of Fort Kent; his father, Shawn of Biddeford; two brothers, Jordan and Justin Hodgkin; and stepbrothers, Nathan and Timothy Ames, all of Fort Kent; his sister, Jasmine Hodgkin; and stepsister, Samantha Ames, also both of Fort Kent; his maternal grandparents, Jeannot and Mae Ann (Bouchard) Plourde of Fort Kent; his great-grandparents, Norman and Laurelle (Charette) Bouchard of Fort Kent; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Sandra and Harmedas Hodgkin. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial in the spring will be held May 11 at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
