WESTFIELD – Daniel R. Giovacchini, 54, passed away Jan. 25, 2009. Dan will be remembered for many things: for his elaborate stories, his jokes, his songs and music, his many and varied talents and interests, his passion to share and transfer his knowledge to others around him, and his ability to heal and transform people’s lives. Dan’s heart and soul is in northern Maine for he loved the woods and nature. It is hard to list the great variety of his abilities, interests and accomplishments. He was truly larger than life. He was predeceased by his father, Dominick. He is survived by his mother, Marion (Tomasul); his daughter, Jennifer Stackhouse and her husband, Troy; his son, Mathew and his partner, Jennifer Dial; and grandsons, Aidan and Dominick. He is also survived by his fiancee, Danielle Soucy and her two children, Elizabeth and David Paradis. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and associates. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Presque Isle Fish and Game Club, Parson’s Road, Presque Isle. This will be a time to be together and to share our memories of our friend, Dan Giovacchini.
