HAVERHILL, Mass. — State police say a man walking on Interstate 495 in Haverhill has been struck and killed by a passing truck.
The victim was struck just after 2 a.m. on Monday while in the southbound lanes of the highway. Police did not immediately release the victim’s name, but say he was 25 years old and from Chelsea. He was declared dead at the scene.
The victim was struck by a truck driven by a 46-year-old man from Maine.
The accident remains under investigation.
