LIMESTONE – David L. Edgecomb, 64, died unexpectedly Feb. 3, 2009, in Limestone. He was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Fort Fairfield, the son of A.J. and Dorothy (Ouellette) Edgecomb. Mr. Edgecomb served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the former Obar-Phair Post American Legion. He was employed as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut for a number of years and was also employed on the family farm in Caribou and Limestone. Surviving, in addition to his mother, Dorothy of Caribou; are his son, Jason Edgecomb of Limestone; four brothers, Roger Edgecomb of Scarborough, Representative Peter Edgecomb of Caribou, Carl Edgecomb of Connor Township and Timothy Edgecomb of Georgia; four sisters, Aline Drost of Woodland, Judy Dionne of Las Vegas, Gail Kinney of Virginia and Julie Armillottii of Winthrop; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; and a sister, Barbara. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Limestone United Methodist Church with Pastor Ellen Cleaves officiating. Interment will be at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery. After the services all are invited to visit with the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments in the church dining hall.
