DEXTER – Loren Paul Chabot, 65, died Feb. 6, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1943, in Waterville, a son of Lionel and Matilda (Clukey) Chabot. He worked at Dexter Shoe Co. for 38 years. Loren took early retirement from the shoe shop after it closed and made an occupation of his hobbies: carpentry and handyman services. He was a devoted husband and family man. Loren will also be remembered as an avid bowler and outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Parsons) Chabot of Dexter; his children, Debbie Worthen of Corinna, Joan and husband, Rich Hoffman, of Garland and Michael and wife, Stephanie Chabot, of Corinna; a brother, Gerard of Lunenburg, Mass.; a sister, Theresa Parsons of St. Albans; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a favorite aunt, Florence “Aunto” Gould of Dexter; many friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Dwelley in 1997. At Loren’s request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral services. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at West Garland Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating.
