It appears a federal economic stimulus package of more than $800 billion is headed for
approval by Congress. Will it work? Will it ease credit at banks, will it create jobs, and
will it all happen soon? Or will the bill prove to be a desperation measure that has little to
do with the economy’s fate? What will be the measure of the bill’s effect? Jobs?
