NEWPORT – Diane C. Wheaton, 50, died Feb. 15, 2009, at her home, with her loving family by her side. She was born July 29, 1958, in Woonsocket, R.I., daughter of Omer and Dorilda (Parenteau) Dupuis. On Oct. 17, 1975, she married the love of her life, Bud Wheaton, and together they raised their four children. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, close friends and her dog, Penny. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bud Wheaton of Newport; four children, Benji Wheaton and his wife, Jessica, of Palmyra, Danielle and her husband, Lyman Curtis III, of Dexter, Barry Wheaton of Woonsocket, R.I., and Derric Wheaton of Bangor. She was a fantastic grandmother to seven special grandchildren, Lyman, Olivia, Bridgett, Cody, Mekayla, Courtney and Emily. She is also survived by two brothers, Normand Dupuis and his wife, Marion, and Moe Dupuis, all of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered by some very special friends that she had made throughout the years. Graveside services will be conducted in the spring at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth, with the Rev.
