CARIBOU – Irene M. Morin, 84, formerly of Caribou, passed away peacefully Feb. 19, 2009, at the Gosnell House, Scarborough, after living with her son, Sam and his wife, Pearl, in Saco for 17 months. Irene was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Caribou, daughter of Pat and Madeline (Dubay) Levesque. She attended schools locally and worked in a bakery and various factories. Irene enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and knitting. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Samuel; a son, Mark Morin; two brothers, Omer and Percy; and by two sisters, Carolyn and Barbara. Irene is survived by her son, Samuel Morin and his wife, Pearl, of Saco; two brothers, Patrick Levesque and his wife, Patsy, of Caribou and Clarence Levesque and his wife, Leatrice, of Connecticut; one sister, Loraine Reid and her husband, George, of New Jersey; two granddaughters, Tracie and her fianc?, Chris, and Kathryn and her husband, Matt; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Grace and Eli; and one stepgrandson, Shaun Perry. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Aaron Damboise, associate pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian burial. Spring interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
