DOVER-FOXCROFT – Virginia P. Hews, 70, wife of the late Richard Hews, died Feb. 24, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Bangor, the daughter of Frederick W. and Dorothy (Meader) MacDonald. She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1956. Ginny had worked as a corrections officer at Piscataquis County Jail for many years. She is survived by her ex-husband, J. Lloyd Finnemore of Glenburn; two sons, Jayson Finnemore of Clinton Township, Mich., and Paul Finnemore of Howell, Mich.; a daughter, Nanette Redmond of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, F. Dana MacDonald of Williston, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Danny Redmond, Ashley, Samantha, Sabrina, Matthew and Nicholas Finnemore; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Tylie; and two great-grandsons, Alex and Robert, to be born in the spring. Ginny also leaves her good friend and companion, Tinker Burtchell of Dover-Foxcroft.
