BLAINE – Charles Terrell, 87, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, with his loving wife, Marjorie, at his side, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Mars Hill, the son of Arthur and Irma (Chase) Terrell. Charles worked many years as a painter and drywaller, and was extremely well known for the quality of his work, as well as his professionalism. Charles’s relationship with God was the most important part of his life and he spent many hours serving him as a longtime deacon, Sunday school secretary, as well as maintaining the church grounds at Faith Baptist Chapel, where he was a charter member. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Marjorie (Powell) Terrell of Blaine, he is survived by three siblings, Rowena Grass of Bridgewater, Gerald “Jake” Terrell of Mars Hill, and Norma McCrum and her husband, Bertram, of Mars Hill; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by a special friend, Dalton Scovil of Blaine. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Faith Baptist Chapel, Blaine, with the Rev. Robert Chamberland officiating. Friends may call noon until the time of service. A reception will be immediately after in the church fellowship hall.
