CARMEL – Clifford O. Runnells, 58, passed away very unexpectedly Feb. 27, 2009. He was born June 11, 1950, in Bangor, the son of Robert and Marguerite (Spaulding) Runnells. Cliff was a 1968 graduate of Hermon High School. He served his country with much pride during the Vietnam War. Cliff was a top-notch car salesman in the Bangor area for the past 20-plus years, including the past 10 years as part of the Quirk family at Subaru. He loved his co-workers dearly. He was predeceased by his father, Robert; and a special Uncle Harold. Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Ann; his mother, Marguerite; his brother, Richard and wife, Gloria and family of Alabama; his sister, Valerie Fraser and husband, Scott and family of Brunswick; his children, Nathan Runnells and wife, Heather, Marcie Runnells, Amy Emerson and husband, Troy, Sharon Harvey-Schinck and husband, Moe, and Donald Butler and wife, Angela; and his grandchildren, whom he worshiped, Shelby Runnells, Cassie Emerson, Aaliyah Emery, Lindsey Emery, Bethany Emerson, Charlie Emerson and Brad Butler. He will be especially missed by his granddaughter, Lexi Wood; his in-laws, Donald and Eunice Leighton of Brewer, and Sharon Allen and Gary of Bangor; also several special nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by special friends, Donna and Dick St. Louis of Brewer; and his sweet lil’ kitty, Missy. A remembrance get together will be held 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Hermon Baptist Church, Route 2, Hermon Village. We hope to see all of his family, friends and co-workers at this time to celebrate and remember Cliff’s life. A graveside service will be announced in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
