LARGO, Fla. – Sadie (Robbins) Stinson Galego, 108, of The Barrington, Largo, Fla., and wife of the late Frank Galego, who died in 1994, passed away Feb. 23, 2009. Sadie was born in Belfast, the daughter of Elnatha and Adelle (Cottrell) Robbins. After graduating from Castine Normal School, she first taught in Maine and then in 1927, embarked on a 40-year teaching career in Dedham, Mass. After her retirement, she divided her time between Massachusetts and Florida, settling in Florida permanently after her marriage in the-mid 1980s. She leaves her sister, Louise Swanton; two nephews, Henry and William Peach; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews. Sadie was predeceased by two brothers, George and Hervey Robbins; and a sister, Adelle Robbins. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Smart Cemetery, Belfast. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
