SACRAMENTO, Calif., and MILLINOCKET – Dave Michaud passed away Feb. 28, 2009, in Rio Linda, Calif. He was born Jan. 24, 1956, in Millinocket. He was the beloved husband of Judy; loving father to Sheadon and Aaron; devoted son to Marge Michaud; dear son-in-law of Sara Osoffsky; and brother to Cheryl and Mike Keyes. Dave leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Paul J. Michaud. Dave made his first solo flight in Millinocket and earned his pilot’s license at the age of 16. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1974, serving six years active duty, then becoming a reservist retiring with 20 years service. He was hired as a deputy with the sheriff’s department in 1983 and stayed on 13 years before he retired, and became a reserve deputy. Upon his retirement from the sheriff’s department, he began working full time in the aviation field, working as a flight engineer on 747’s for various companies before becoming employed with the Sands Corp., of Las Vegas. He had a life long passion for his family, friends, flying and the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Executive Airport in the Sacramento Aviation Hangar, 5957 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, Calif.
