EASTON and PATTEN – Barbara J. Cote, 65, died March 6, 2009, in Presque Isle. She was born Jan. 21, 1944, in South Kingston, R.I., the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Tanner) Reed. She and her husband Chick raised many foster children and loved all kids. She is survived by one daughter, Jessica Scott and her son, Mason, of Easton; four sisters, Evelyn Dejesus, Mary Jane Mattlock, Dot Olson and Pat Morallis; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James “Chick.” Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, with funeral services being held at 4 p.m. with Steve Richardson officiating. Spring interment will be at Patten Cemetery.
