All proceeds from the Have a Heart Benefit Bean Supper will help support the Washington Hancock Community Agency’s THAW Fund, says Georgianna Pulver on behalf of host St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church.
The supper is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the church, 134 State St., Ellsworth.
For this sit-down meal of homemade baked beans, Maine hot dogs, “casseroles, salads, coleslaw, pie, cake, fruit and unsweetened Lenten fair,” Pulver said, the cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children.
The meal will be served by members of the congregation, who also urge you to help them support the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry of Ellsworth by bringing in “canned or packaged food, drinks and cash donations … to help the food pantry replenish its shelves,” Pulver said.
“Loaves & Fishes has been helping a record number of families hit hard by the economy this winter,” she said.
Parking and entry are available behind the church. For information, call the church at 667-5495 or call 667-7541 or 664-2433.
