BANGOR – John W. Patterson, 74, husband of Marlene (Steele) Patterson, died March 17, 2009, at a Bangor health care center. He was born June 16, 1934, in Fairmont, W.Va., son of John T. and Flora (Owens) Patterson. John was a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by New England Pipe and Supply and later by A. J. Cole & Sons for several years. He also worked for SAD 64, Stetson. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 35 years of Bangor, is one daughter, Molly De Boer and her husband, Jeremy, of Fountain, Colo. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, James; and a half sister, Alice. He will be remembered by many special friends. John requested that no formal service be held.
