LINCOLN – Deltha M. Davis, 62, passed away March 31, 2009, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 27, 1946, in Lincoln, the daughter of Chester and Ecla (Hanscom) Merrill. Deltha graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1964. She worked as a store manager in Florida for many years for S & S stores. At the time of her death, she was a customer service representative for Wal-Mart, Lincoln, where she was “mother” and “grandmother” to all who were employed there. She loved to take pictures and she loved her cats. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lynn Bishop; a granddaughter, Cassady Jane Bishop, both of Imperial, Mo.; an aunt, Lorain Bishop of Lake City, Fla.; an uncle, Lewis Hanscom of Hudson, Mass.; and several cousins. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
