HOLDEN – Raymond P. Malone, 67, died March 31, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1941, in Bangor, the son of Herman H. and Erma L. (Royal) Malone. Raymond worked in the retail business for many years, including several years with Kavanaugh Paint and later worked for several years as supervisor of Hawks Nest Convenience Store at Hamel Fuels, Brewer. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends, especially summer trips and vacations on Maine’s coast. Surviving are one brother, Richard Malone and his wife, Alice, of Hartland; a sister-in-law, Muriel Malone of Corinna; a brother-in-law, Gerald Richardson of Plymouth; and two nephews, Robert Downing and his wife, Margie, of Etna, and Rick Downing of Etna. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Joan Richardson and Barbara Malone; and a brother, Edward Malone. He will be remembered by Bob and Flo Decker of Holden, very special friends who were a great source of help and comfort. A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
