BANGOR – Marlene M. Poole, 75, died April 3, 2009, at a local hospital after a short illness. She was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Blanchard Plantation, the daughter of Edgar and Marguerite (Bartlett) Poole. Marlene is survived by her brother, Karl Poole of Augusta; two nieces, Laurie and her husband, Mark Pelletier, of Augusta and Valerie Brooks of Litchfield; one nephew, Karl Poole Jr. and his wife, Heidi, of Sidney; and her best friend, Angela Jones of Bangor. Graveside services will be held this spring at Hillside Cemetery, Monson. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
