The father of a victim of the Columbine High School was in Maine this week advocating
that the state close the so-called gun show loophole which allows the purchase of guns
without a criminal background check. Should the loophole be closed? Isn’t doing so
merely meeting the intent of the law? Or is this an attempt to further limit lawful access
to guns?
