HOULTON – Doris B. McPherson, 86, died April 12, 2009, at a local health care facility. She was born March 14, 1923, in Houlton, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Barnett) Brown. Doris attended Houlton schools and graduated from Houlton High School. She was employed first at Houlton Air Base and then for many years at Togus V.A. Commissary. Doris is survived by her dear sister-in-law, Audrey Brown of Houlton; loving niece, Judith Brown of Brewer; favorite nephew, Sam Brown and his wife, Janice, of Houlton; and nieces, Carol, Betty, Jane, Linda, Janice, Bobbi and Alyson. She also leaves her good friends and staff at Madigan Assisted Living. She was predeceased by her husband, John McPherson; four brothers, Ralph, Charles “Bob,” Ray and Donald; and two sisters, Mary “Helen” Brown and Marjorie Brown. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday.
