VEAZIE – Clark Edward Crane, 76, died peacefully May 5, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 25, 1932, in New Sharon, son of Donald Clyde and Elsie Mae (Clark) Crane. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Clark was a 50-year member of St. Andrews Lodge No. 83 AF & AM of Bangor, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Bangor, Maine Consistory 32nd Degree, a member of Anah Shriners and Anah Shrine Patrol. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Bette A. (Perry) Crane of Veazie; three children, Darrell C. Crane and his wife, Carolyn, of Glenburn, Donald S. Crane and his wife, Laurie, of Bangor, and Sherry M. (Crane) Clifford of Brewer; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Jenna, Jordan, Eric, Keith, Elizabeth and Benjamin; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Allyson; two sisters, Linda Matthews of Machias and Donna Lamm of North Carolina; nieces and nephews. Clark was predeceased by a son, Shawn M. Crane; and one grandson, Jacob. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, May 7, at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
