WATERVILLE – Phyllis K. (Ayoob) Cogswell, 89, died May 4, 2009, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit, Waterville. She was born July 8, 1919, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of William J. and Sadie (Ferris) Ayoob. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Cogswell; two sons and a daughter, their wives and husbands, and seven grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow, with the Rev. Bruce Siket officiating and the Rev. Mr. Peter Joseph assisting. A graveside committal service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at St. Dennis Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
