GLENBURN – Harold “Buddy” M. Corcoran, 74, died may 14, 2009, at the Maine Veterans’ Home. He was born May 1, 1935, in Bangor. Buddy was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the British West Indies during the Korean War. He worked at Bangor Metal Health Institute for more than 35 years. After he retired, Buddy helped to create Glenburn Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed the great outdoors, gardening, fishing, family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Rowell) Corcoran of Glenburn; seven children, Cindy and her husband, Allison Lola, of Perry, Ginger and her husband, Randy White, of Corinth, Belinda and her husband, Dennis Townsend, of Glenburn, April Cordwell of Alaska, Harold M. Corcoran II of Glenburn, Holly and her husband, Gary Hood, of Kentucky and Kelly and her husband, Michael Curtis, of Hermon; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Joel Townsend; and a special nephew, Alvin Parsons. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday. Interment with military honors will be after in the family lot at Pleasant View Cemetery, Glenburn.
