EAST MILLINOCKET – Keith Leslie Grass Sr., 81, died May 17, 2009. Keith was born in Masardis to Ray and Eldora Grass. He was an Army veteran and worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford, Conn., for 37 years before retiring to his beloved Maine. Keith is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joanne; his son, Keith Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Grass; and his daughters, Christine and her husband, William Rourke, of Farmington, Conn., Laurina and her husband, Allen Zelanski, of Meriden, Conn., and Alma Audrey Valerio of Bristol, Conn. He leaves stepchildren, Ellen and her husband, Jim Macauley, Nicholas Butler and Laura and her husband, Don Brown; his grandchildren, Ben Grass, Patrice Grass, Jessica Fournier, Heather and Cory Valerio; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Butler III, Kathryn and Elizabeth Macauley; and nine great-grandchildren. He leaves his brother, Dwynal; his sister, Audrey; several nieces and nephews. Keith was predeceased by brothers, Raymond and Brian; and a granddaughter, Katherine Grass Burns. At Keith’s request, there will be no funeral services. Interment will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 24, at Swett Cemetery, Oxbow, with a gathering of friends and family after.
