Many, many dedicated, hard-working people put many, many hours into making the Old Town American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser a success, and among those hard workers is Jessica Gray and her team, Judi’s Hope.

That team, and many others, will be busy at this year’s event, which begins at 6 p.m. Friday, May 29, and runs through noon, Saturday, May 30, on the outdoor track at Old Town High School.

At the event, Gray wrote, Judi’s Hope “will be hosting a Locks of Love hair donation drive,” which is “open for anyone who would like to donate their hair.”

Gray wrote the team “will have a booth at our campsite,” and team members will “start cutting hair at 9 a.m. Saturday, and will continue until there is no more hair to be cut. There will be gifts for anyone who donates,” she added.

Locks of Love is a Florida-based organization that creates hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children who have hair loss due to illness or disease.
