PARKMAN – Willard W. Ellis Sr., 83, died May 30, 2009, at his home. He was born April 11, 1926, in Parkman, son of Aldana and Beryl (Carr) Ellis. He served in U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Sangerville American Legion. After the service he worked heavy construction for the state highway department for many years. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Clement) Ellis of Parkman; five children, Barry Ellis and his wife, Sandra, of Parkman, Valorie Stokes of Alabama, Donna Higgins of Parkman, Willard Ellis Jr. and his wife, Pam, of Parkman and Joanne Blodgett and her husband, Richard, of Parkman; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Pingree Center Cemetery, Parkman, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Davis officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
