Madawaska 16, LCS/MSSM 3

   At Madawaska, Curtis Thibeault hit a three-run home run and a two-run home run as Madawaska cruised past Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics in five-innings.
   Nathan Beaulieu hit a three-run home run and an RBI single for the Owls.
   Danny Cote had two singles while Aaron St. Pierre hit an RBI double for the Eagles.

Machias 14, J-Beals 5 (8 inn.)
   At Jonesport, Matt Little’s two-run single and winning pitcher Sam Whitney’s RBI double highlighted a nine-run eighth inning that carried Machias past Jonesport-Beals.
   There were also four errors, three walks and singles by Ty Richards and Mike Jenkins in the decisive rally.
   Jake Scoville had a double and a single and two RBIs for Machias, which scored an unearned run in the seventh without the benefit of a hit to force extra innings. Richards and Jenkins had two singles each.
   Andrew Beal’s two-run double and RBI singles by Matt Alley and Sean Milliken paced Jonesport-Beals.

Washington Acad. 6, Woodland 1

At Woodland, Toby Woods and Bryce Colbeth each hit an RBI single to highlight a five-run seventh inning as Washington Academy of East Machias topped Woodland.
   Woods pitched a complete game allowing one run on five hits to earn the win.    Michael Lenfesty added two singles for the Raiders.
   Ben Sears hit two singles while Eddie Flaherty had an RBI single for Woodland.

Ellsworth 14, Sumner 0
   At Ellsworth, Adam Kaspala pitched a five-inning no-hitter giving up no walks and striking out six to lead Ellsworth by Sumner of East Sullivan.
   Mickey Manning hit three doubles and drove in six runs. Patrick Kelley doubled and singled with an RBI while Dana Austin hit two singles for the Eagles.

Bangor Christian 16, Schenck 6
   At East Millinocket, Brett Bradford hit two doubles and a single, had two RBIs and scored five runs as Bangor Christian defeated Schenck in six innings.
   Jon Johnson doubled and singled while Nate Fowler, Chris Potter and Tyler Alexander had two singles apiece for the Patriots.
   Brandon Theriault paced Schenck with a triple, a single and four RBIs while Jon Sirois had two singles.

Lee Academy 9, PCHS 3
   At Guilford, Ryan Beers drove in four runs with a two-run homer, double and a single and Dustin Sawtelle threw three-hitter as Lee Academy topped Piscataquis Community High School of Guilford.
   Sawtelle struck out six and walked four.
   Dean MacDonald had two singles and scored four times for Lee and A.J. Harris had a pair of singles.
   Cody Briggs’ RBI double and Corbin Shufelt’s run-scoring single led PCHS. 

Wisdom 6, Fort Kent 0
   At St. Agatha, Curtis Picard and Cody Chamberland combined on a two-hitter to lead Wisdom by Fort Kent.
   Chamberland doubled and singled with an RBI while Kurt Daigle and Kyle Daigle each had two singles and an RBI for the Pioneers.
   Nick Michaud hit a double for Fort Kent.

Stearns 13, Penquis 3
   At Millinocket, leadoff hitter Jason Levasseur hit a triple and three singles with four RBIs as the Minutemen edged closer to securing second place in the Eastern C Heal point ratings with a five-inning victory over Penquis of Milo.
   Stearns (12-2) spotted the Patriots a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on an RBI double by Justin Artus and a run-scoring single by Chad Badger, but the Minutemen sent nine batters to the plate in the bottom of the inning and scored five runs on six hits off Penquis starter Kiel Larson to take control.
   Cory Barnett highlighted the rally with a two-run double to right-center, while Max Bouchard doubled home a run and scored on a wild pitch while Levasseur added an RBI single.
   Stearns scored three more runs in the third , two on a triple to deep left by Levasseur after an RBI single to center by winning pitcher Aaron Cyr.
Penquis (10-3) cut the gap to 8-3 in the fourth on a delayed double steal that allowed Artus to score with two outs.
   But Stearns brought the 10-run rule into play with five runs in the bottom of the inning. Jeremy Santerre had an RBI double to deep center and later scored on a passed ball, while Derek Hibbs plated a run with an infield groundout before Alan Langley hit an RBI double and scored on Levasseur’s fourth hit in as many innings, a two-out single to right.
   Kurt Hamilton added two singles and three runs scored to Stearns’ 13-hit attack, while Langley doubled and singled and Bouchard doubled, walked twice and scored three runs.
   Cyr, a junior righthander, improved his pitching record to 4-1 by scattering five hits, striking out three ande walking three in five innings.

Central 9, Foxcroft Acad. 8
   At Corinth, Cody Caruso hit a bases loaded single to drive in Brett Speed for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Central topped Foxcroft Academy.
   Speed had two singles and a three-run home run while David Lord tripled and doubled with an RBI. Zach Kirlin and Matt St. Peter each hit an RBI double for the Red Devils.
   Jamie Nason paced Foxcroft with two singles, a double and two RBIs. Kyo Mikame added a single and three RBIs.

MDI 19, George Stevens 8
   At Bar Harbor, the Trojans overcame an eight-run deficit with 19 unanswered runs to over-come the Eagles.
   Nolan Hall, who earned the win in relief, led Mount Desert Island with a three-run home run and a single. Dennis O’Neil smacked a three-run homer, while Willy Clark and Devin Young each posted two singles and two RBIs.
   Jesse Dow doubled and singled with two RBIs for George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill. Cam-eron Lawson delivered a three-run triple.

Hall-Dale 3, Georges Valley 0
   At Farmingdale, Dylan DuPont pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead Hall-Dale by Georges Valley of Thomaston.
   Nick Keene hit a double and knocked in two runs for the Bulldogs. Ryan Leach doubled and singled while DuPont and Brandon Gilbert each had two singles.
Bryant Matthews singled for Georges Valley.

Mattanawcook 9, Old Town 3
   At Old Town, Tyler Tash drove in three runs with a double, single and two sacrifice flies to back the seven-hit pitching of Josh Murchison and lead Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln past Old Town.
   Murchison struck out three and walked two.
   Ivan Voisine had a double and two singles and drove in a run and Ethan Whitte had two sin-gles.
   Josh Moul’s two singles, Nick Standley’s two-run double and Tyler Hamm’s double led Old Town.

Madawaska 6, LCS/MSSM 5

   At Lindsay Lavoie stroked a one-out single to score Amanda Nadeau (single) from second base in the bottom of the eighth inning and lift the Owls to a come-from-behind victory.
   Madawaska was forced to rally twice, as Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to take a 5-4 lead.
   Lavoie added another single and Kallie Pelletier singled twice to back winning pitcher Ashley Beaulieu, who scattered four hits and struck out nine.
   Myley Denslow had a single and an RBI to lead the Eagles and losing pitcher Jasmine Cote doubled.

Washburn 17, East Grand 15
   At Washburn, Dakota Koch hit a two-run home run and two singles to help the Beavers earn their first victory of the season.
   Starting pitcher Meaghan Saucier belted a three-run home run and a double for Washburn.
   Liz Gilman paced East Grand of Danforth with a double and two singles. Jen Armstrong chipped in with two singles.

Ashland 17, Van Buren 11
   At Ashland, Brooke LaBelle rapped a three-run double, a single and knocked in two more runs to propel the Hornets to victory over the Crusaders.
   Andrea Mayo doubled twice with two RBIs and Whitney Donovan hit a triple and a single to back winning pitcher Suzanne Poulin, who worked a three-hitter with eight strikeouts.
   Angel Richard stroked a two-run single to lead Van Buren while Jen Ouellette singled and scored three runs.

Jonesport-Beals 14, Machias 2 (5 inn.)
   At Jonesport, BreAnna Beal tossed a two-hitter over five innings, striking out nine and walking two, and Hannah Carver hit three singles to lead Jonesport-Beals past Machias.
   Erin Crowley had a two-run single for the winners with Holly Crowley and Morgan MacLean each contributing an RBI single.
   Courtney Dahl’s RBI single and Kala Conley’s base hit were Machias’ only hits.

Medomak Valley 5, Belfast 1
At Waldoboro, Kayla Vannah fired a two-hitter and sparked a four-run, fourth-inning rally with a two-run single as Medomak Valley won its sixth straight.
Vannah struck out seven and walked one.
Kelsi Severson had a run-scoring single in the fourth.
Rachel Keefe and Kasey Benner had the only other Medomak Valley hits in the game, both singles.
Morgan Mansfield and Caroline Carr singled for Belfast and Victoria Overlock tossed a complete-game four-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks.

George Stevens 8, MDI 0

   At Mount Desert, Lydia Clapp tossed a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill by Mount Desert Island.
   Stevie Theoharidis posted two doubles, a single and three RBIs. Clapp doubled and singled while Mindy Carter hit a two-run triple for the Eagles.
   Mackenzie Curtis had two singles for the Trojans.

Piscataquis 4, Lee Acad. 1
   At Guilford, freshman Abby Burdin fashioned a one-hitter, striking out four and walking one while throwing only 54 pitches, to guide the Pirates to victory over the Pandas.
   Annie Agnew and Samara Cooper each poked two singles with an RBI for Piscataquis. Heather Dillingham hit an RBI single and Emily Knight posted a single and a run-scoring sacrifice bunt.
   Alaina Hamilton hit an RBI single in the first inning for Lee Academy.

Old Town 14, Orono 2

At Orono, Amy Cossar walloped a three-run homer in the fourth inning to break the game open and Hannah Morin scattered seven hits to notch the victory.
   Morin struck out five and walked two.
   Hilary Campbell and Whitney Buck had two singles and two runs-batted in apiece for the winners and Amy Singer had two singles.
   Sonya Forst and Jill Tuell had two singles each for Orono and Forst drove in both runs.

Bangor 4, Messalonskee 0
   At Oakland, Sam Bedore pitched her fifth no-hitter and her 10th shutout of the season to power Bangor by Messalonskee.
   Bedore, who had 15 strikeouts, also hit two singles. Sadie Redmond doubled and singled while Erin Dean and Kim Jordan each had two singles for the Rams.

Fort Kent 24, Wisdom 6
   At St. Agatha, Sara Carapelluci hit two singles, a double and drove in two runs as Fort Kent rolled past Wisdom.
   Jessica Walker doubled and singled with two RBIs while Catelyn Roy added two singles and an RBI for the Warriors.
   Elsie Berce paced Wisdom with two singles and two RBIs. Nicole Coulombe doubled and singled while Sarah Paradis added two singles.

Georges Valley 1, Hall-Dale 0
   At Farmingdale, Danielle Leavitt drove in the game’s only run with a fourth-inning double as unbeaten Georges Valley of Thomaston prevailed.
   Danielle Frye, who singled twice, compiled 12 strikeouts and walked three while giving up just three singles for the Buccaneers.
   Caralan Wolfington, Hayley Longfellow and Colby Houdlette all singled for Hall-Dale. Lindsay LaChance fanned nine in the loss.

Sumner 7, Ellsworth 3
   At Ellsworth, Lona Sargent rapped a two-run double and a single to lead Sumner of East Sullivan to victory.
   Maria Lockhart singled and Sarah Leighton scored two runs in support of pitcher Tashia Daley, who spaced eight hits and struck out nine.
   Maggie Harding paced Ellsworth with two singles and an RBI. Losing pitcher Anna Seavey, who fired a three-hitter with seven strikeouts, also posted two singles.

Penquis 12, Stearns 3
   At Millinocket, Shelby Weston stroked a double and a single and knocked in two runs to spark the Patriots to victory.
   Shelby Fowles and Kasey Sherburne each added a single and two RBIs behind winning pitcher Erica Lyford for Penquis of Milo.
   Angela Levesque hit two singles for Stearns.

Bangor Christian 20, Schenck 6
   At East Millinocket, Whitney Holmes drove in six runs on four singles and a two-run home run as Bangor Christian powered past Schenck.
   Kelly Robinson added three singles, a double and two RBIs for the Patriots.
   Ashley Deloge hit a triple and an RBI single while Ashley Grant had two singles and an RBI for Schenck.

Washington Acad. 4, Woodland 2
   At Woodland, Christina Ramsdell pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Raiders of East Machias beat the Dragons.
   Kaitlyn Look hit a run-scoring double and Irene Lewey singled for Washington Academy.
   Losing pitcher Shelby Bassett also scattered four hits and struck out 15, but the Dragons committed three errors. Ashley Laking, Molly White, Taylor Cochran and Bassett hit a single apiece for Woodland.

DI-Stonington 5, Searsport 2
   At Searsport, Anika Powers singled three times to propel the Mariners to victory.
Janelle Ciomei hit a two-run double and Hannah Siebert singled twice behind Erika Hutch-ins, who pitched a four-hitter.
   Shannon Higgins smacked an RBI double and Megan Higgins hit an RBI single for Searsport.
