At Mars Hill, Kasey Brewer, Mitch Folsom and Brendan York combined on a two-hitter as Central Aroostook cruised past Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics in five innings.
Dan Brewer posted three singles and an RBI while Mike McClung doubled and singled with an RBI. Manny Martinez hit a two run home run and York hit two singles for the Panthers.
Zach Cote and Danny Cote each singled for LCS/MSSM.
Mattanawcook, Caribou split
At Lincoln, Eric Brown hit a double, two singles and knocked in five runs as Caribou took the second game from Mattanawcook Academy 16-3. The Lynx prevailed in the first game 13-3. Both games went five innings.
In the first game, Ivan Voisine and Nathan Ireland each had a double, two singles and three RBIs. Brendan Crocker and Josh Murchison each singled twice.
Ted Walker, Phil St. Peter and Eric Brown doubled for Caribou.
In the second game, Chad McCarthy and Matt Kinney each singled twice and drove in a run for the Vikings.
Tyler Tash doubled and singled to lead Mattanawcook. Lance Bernier and Ivan Voisine both singled with an RBI.
Lee Acad. 2, Penobscot Valley 1
At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, A.J. Harris pitched a complete game, allowing just one run on four hits, while helping his own cause with a two-run double to lead Lee Academy past Penobscot Valley of Howland.
Ryan Beers added a double for the Pandas.
Anthony Batchelder hit two singles while Ethan Babineau had an RBI single for Penobscot Valley.
DI-Stonington sweeps Schenck
At Deer Isle, Evan Rollins pitched a two-hit shutout as Deer Isle-Stonington defeated Schenck of East Millinocket 6-0 in the first game of a doubleheader.
The Mariners won the second game 16-4.
In the first game, Rollins helped his own cause with a two-run double and a single. Jon Lymburner had a double and an RBI single while Eben Powers had two singles and an RBI.
Brandon Theriault and Chris Ouellette each singled for Schenck.
In the second game, Joe Condon and Joe Carter each hit a three-run home run and an RBI single to spark the Mariners.
Jake Starkey hit three singles while Lymburner and Rollins each added two singles and two RBIs.
Ben Leclerc hit two singles while Josh Brown and Chris Ouellette each had an RBI double for the Wolverines.
John Bapst 17, Hermon 2
At Bangor, Bill Wetherbee tripled, doubled, singled and drove in three runs as John Bapst powered past Hermon.
Chase Huckestein had a triple, a single and four RBIs. Nick Pooler had two singles and three RBIs while Casey Hull added two singles and two RBIs for the Crusaders.
Kevin Frederick and Tyler Fournier each singled and scored for Hermon.
Bangor Christian 8, PCHS 1
At Guilford, Brett Bradford, Jared Theriault and Jon Johnson combined to pitch a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts as Bangor Christian earned its 10th victory.
Nate Fowler led the Patriots offensively with three singles, while Johnson and Chris Potter each singled twice and scored two runs.
Cody Briggs singled for Piscataquis in the bottom of the first inning.
Dexter 6, Searsport 5
At Dexter, C.J. Giles and Matt Gelzinis each hit a two-run triple as Dexter held off Searsport.
Giles pitched a complete game to earn the win for the Tigers. Zac Poirier chipped in with two singles and an RBI.
Josiah Brazier hit a double for Searsport.
Belfast 12, Lincoln Acad. 4
At Belfast, Josh Beal, Cote Ward and A.J. Chasse each hit a home run and a single to help Belfast past Lincoln Academy of Newcastle.
Beal hit a three-run home run while Ward had a two-run home run. Derrick Bernosky hit three singles while Jack Davis and Matt Steinort added two singles apiece for the Lions.
Ben McLain had a home run and single for Lincoln Academy.
Brewer 8, Skowhegan 0
At Heddericg Field in Brewer, consecutive first-inning doubles by Eric White, Billy Bissell, Andy Bush and Matt Helfen sparked a five-run rally that lifted the Witches past the Indians.
Junior righthander Pat McEwen pitched a two-hit shutout for Brewer with four strikeouts and five walks.
He was backed by an errorless defense that turned three double plays.
Helfen also had a two-run single in the fifth inning, while Bissell finished with two doubles, a single and two runs scored while White doubled twice, walked and scored three runs.
John Little doubled for Skowhegan.
SOFTBALL
Fort Kent 24, Van Buren 8
At Van Buren, Jessica Walker and Sam Carapelluci each hit three singles and knocked in a run as Fort Kent rolled past Van Buren.
Katelyn Roy hit four singles while Emily Bard had a two-run home run and a single for the Warriors.
Jen Ouellette had a single and two RBIs for Van Buren.
Mattanawcook sweeps Caribou
At Lincoln, Tayla Trask pitched a five-inning perfect game, striking out all 15 batters she faced, to lead Mattanawcook Academy by Caribou 18-0 in the first game of a doubleheader.
The Lynx completed the sweep with a 6-4 win in the second game.
In the first game, Jess Fortin had two singles while Brooke Kimball added a double for Mattanawcook Academy.
In the second game, Kimball led the Lynx with three singles. Fortin doubled and singled while Renee Libby had two singles.
Serena Grier hit an RBI double while Danielle Violette had an RBI single for Caribou.
Rangeley, Greenville split
At Greenville, Rangeley’s Allie Hammond hit for the cycle during a 16-7 first-game win, while Greenville scored seven runs in the seventh inning to take the second game 10-9.
In the opener, Hammond homered in the first, tripled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth and sixth to hit for the cycle and drive in five runs. Carina Pathiakis hit three singles.
Holly Hersey hit a three-run triple in the second to lead Greenville. Ruby Rockwell tripled and singled and Nikki Hamilton had two singles.
In the second game, Rachel Soule capped the seven-run seventh inning with a single to right field, driving home Gretel Breton to give Greenville the win. Hamilton also hit a grand slam in the seventh.
Hammond hit a double, two singles and knocked in three runs for Rangeley. Haley White had a double, two singles and two RBIs and Sam Olivieri singled twice.
Skowhegan 5, Brewer 2
At Brewer, Skowhegan scored five runs in the ninth inning, highlighted by a two-run single by Anna Lorrette, to defeat Brewer.
Junior Becca McCarty allowed just two runs in the ninth inning while striking out six to earn the complete-game win for the Indians. Whitney Jones hit a single and Lorrette also doubled.
Brewer junior Melanie Judkins had a no-hitter through seven innings. She allowed no runs, one hit, four walks and struck out 14 in eight innings. Emily Fraser hit three singles, Leah Jackson doubled, Amanda Ryan had two singles and Katie McLaughlin hit an RBI single.
Piscataquis 1, Bangor Christian 0
At Guilford, Abby Burdin drove in the game-winning run in the seve
nth inning to lift Piscataquis past Bangor Christian.
Cynthia Currier had two singles and scored the winning run. Emily Knight added two singles for the Pirates.
Whitney Holmes, Katherine Bragg and Monica Alexander each had a single for Bangor Christian.
Hermon 8, John Bapst 4
At Bangor, Lily Barry hit two doubles, a single, drove in two runs and scored two runs as Hermon defeated John Bapst.
Monica Gallant doubled and tripled with two RBIs for Hermon and Erin Arnold hit four singles.
Abby Perkins paced the Crusaders with three singles, a double and two RBIs. Tori Huckestein doubled and singled and Tori Mason hit an RBI single.
DI-Stonington sweeps Schenck
At Deer Isle, Anika Powers tripled, doubled, singled and drove in three runs as Deer Isle-Stonington edged Schenck of East Millinocket 8-7 in the first game. The Mariners also won the nightcap 25-2 in five innings.
In the first game, Hannah Siebert and Emily Cormier each had a double, single and two RBIs for the Mariners.
Ashley Grant hit two doubles, a single and drove in a run to lead Schenck. Brooke Hanington added a double, single and an RBI.
In the second game, sophomore Britnie Jones pitched a one-hitter for DI-Stonington. She struck out seven in her first start.
Jones had a triple, double, two singles and drove in five runs for the Mariners. Heidi Brewer, Holly Brewer and Goldie Garcia each had a double and two singles.
Schenck’s Kristen Quinn singled over the head of the second baseman with one out in the fifth inning to break up the no-hitter.
Foxcroft 5, Central 0
At Corinth, Kelsey Boss pitched a two-hit shutout as Foxcroft Academy was victorious over Central.
Boss struck out 12 and walked two for the Ponies. Sabrina Sharrow and Bekah Flanders each hit an RBI single.
Alex Rudzinski allowed no earned runs, two hits, three walks and hit a batter while striking out 10 for Central. Rudzinski and Katie Day singled.
Penobscot Valley 17, Lee Acad. 4
At Lee, Casey McCloskey hit three singles, a double and knocked in two runs to lead Penobscot Valley of Howland by Lee Academy.
Molly Woodward had two singles and two RBIs while Molly Thompson added two singles for the Howlers.
Felicia Thornton had a double, a single and an RBI for Lee Academy.
Dexter 5, Searsport 3
At Dexter, Eva Wing’s single in the sixth inning scored Sam Conway (single) with the eventual winning run as the Tigers edged the Vikings.
Sarah Hunter executed a run-scoring squeeze bunt to account for an insurance run for Dexter. Conway added another single to back winning pitcher Olivia Gardner.
Shannon Higgins rapped a double and two singles to pace Searsport. Emily Gillotti singled twice behind losing pitcher Olivia Quigley, who allowed only three hits and struck out eight.
