WEST ENFIELD – Peter R. Dauphinee, 59, died June 3, 2009, in West Enfield, as the result of a motorcycle-moose collision. He was born Oct. 30, 1949, in Bangor, son of Robert and Nancy (Clayton-Howes) Dauphinee. Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He lived in the Brewer area for 20-plus years. He was active in the Eagles Club and Maine Air National Guard. He worked for Coca-Cola, was the owner and operator of Brewer Time Out restaurant for many years and worked for Webber Brake Service. He was a basketball referee for years. He moved to West Enfield and worked for the town of Enfield for more than 10 years. In addition to his mother of Patten, he is survived by three children, Catherine Kinney of Exeter, N.H., Heather Dauphinee of Middletown, R.I., and Peter Dauphinee II of Blue Lake, Calif.; two brothers, Michael Dauphinee of Florida and Gordon Dauphinee of Patten; three grandchildren, Ethan Bryand, Lily Dauphinee and Bailey Kinney; and a niece and nephews, Gregory, Michael, David, Benjamin and Renee Dauphinee. He also leaves behind his former wives, the mother of his children, Shirley Franco, and his second wife, Dianne Williams. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson officiating. Interment will be at West Enfield Cemetery.
