BUCKSPORT – Joan R. Rollins, 77, wife of Jesse Rollins, passed away June 7, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Harmony, the daughter of Cecil and Bulah (Cromwell) Turner. Joan attended Bangor schools and the most important thing in her life was her family. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to bowl, dance, eat out, work in her flower garden and be with the morning group at McDonald’s, Bucksport. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jesse Rollins; two daughters, Terry and her husband, Howard Egalka, of Naples, Fla., and Barbara and her husband, Joseph Grindle, of Bucksport; one granddaughter, Shelby and her husband, Jason Kirk, of Orlando, Fla.; two grandsons, Josh Egalka and Randy Grindle; and two great-grandchildren, Sidney and Wesley Kirk.
