HOWLAND – Clydie E. Batchelder, 79, wife of the late Charles E. Batchelder, went home to be with the Lord June 11, 2009, after a battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1929. She lived in Enfield most of her life. She loved having her family and friends around her, and attending church. She is survived by a son, David Rollins and his wife, Penny, of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Josephine Hanson and her husband, Eugene, of Charleston, and Melissa Curtis and her husband, Calvin, of Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Linda Batchelder of Enfield, wife of the late Evans Batchelder; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ranco of Alton; a sister, Harriett Hesseltine of Cardville; grandchildren, Michael Rollins of Alaska, Corey Rollins and Nathan Rollins of South Carolina, Caron Siefken and her husband, Laren and their children, Hannah, Madeline and Isaac, all of Summerville, S.C., Adam Hanson of Wellington, Fla., Shelly Hanson of Charleston, Pricilla Curtis of Veazie, Keith Curtis of Lowell, Mark Batchelder and his wife, Laura and their family of Enfield, and Troy Batchelder and his wife, Kim and their family of Howland. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Batchelder; a stepdaughter, Leslie Crosby; and a stepson, Evans Batchelder. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Town Line Hill Cemetery, Enfield, with Pastor Angelia Fowler officiating. There will be a gathering after the service at West Enfield Church of God Dining Hall.
