NORTHEAST HARBOR – Brad Stuart Kenney, 31, died June 12, 2009, in Ellsworth. He was born Dec. 30, 1977, in Presque Isle, the son of Kerry Lee (Condon) Kenney and Brian Stuart Kenney. Brad graduated in 1997 from Presque Isle High School and also received his associate degree from Northern Maine Technical College. He spent his work life with Harold MacQuinn Inc., and most recently was working as a layout foreman. Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing and his gardens. He loved his life, his family and his friends. He is survived by his mother, Kerry Kenney and her husband, Michael Roix, of Northeast Harbor; by his father, Brian Kenney of Castle Hill; one sister, Jamie Boyd and her husband, Phil, of Bangor; two grandmothers, Vella Condon of Wade and Phyllis Kenney of Presque Isle; two aunts, Joyce Boynton and Joyce Humphrey and husband, Wayne; three uncles, Herman Condon and wife, Patricia, Preston Kenney and wife, Rhonda, and Gary Kenney and wife, Joan; many cousins and a special cousin, Matthew Boynton. Brad was predeceased by two grandfathers, Gerald “Judd” Condon and Harold Kenney. A celebration of Brad’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, at St. Mary’s-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, Shore Road, Northeast Harbor, with the Rev. Patricia Rome Robertson, celebrant. Committal services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill. The family suggests that those who desire may give blood, in Brad’s memory, to the American Red Cross Association or a contribution to a charity of one’s choice.
