WARWICK, R.I. – James L. Richardson, 67, a retail manager for Ocean State Job Lot and Ann & Hope before retiring, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at home. Born in Bangor, he was son of the late Donald L. and Alice L. (Hammond) Richardson. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte L. (Curtis) Richardson; father of Kevin A. Richardson and his wife, Melissa, and the late James A. Richardson; brother, of William S. Richardson and the late Ronald E. Pike; brother-in-law of Connie Pike and Beverly Richardson; and grandfather of Colin J. Richardson and Colby J. Richardson. A devoted family man, he enjoyed spending time with his family and in recent years cherished his time with his grandchildren. He had a great love for music and was a singer in the former group the Statics in the late ’50s and early ’60s in Bangor. Mr. Richardson was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, R.I. Burial with military honors will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, R.I. Visiting hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday.
