HOULTON – Rosella E. Briggs, 59, died June 15, 2009, in Houlton, with her family by her side. She was born June 8, 1950, in Houlton, daughter of Raymond and Hattie (Tidd) Dow. Rosella enjoyed her grandkids and watching them at hockey, dance and cheering. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Briggs; one daughter, Michelle McClure and her husband, Larry; one son, Robert Briggs and Amy Anderson, all of Houlton; seven grandchildren, Grady, Ashlee, Cody, Breanne, Katelynn, Kaycee and Gunnar; one brother, Raymond and his wife, Priscilla Dow, of Ludlow; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and several close friends, including those at Pulmonary Rehab. She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Ricky; and her stepfather, George Briggs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Interment will be at Jewell Cemetery, Monticello.
