ELLSWORTH – Eva Frost Barnes, 81, died June 17, 2009, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born May 26, 1928, in Mariaville, the daughter of Albert Thomas and Ella (Dunham) Frost. Eva loved to knit, crochet and go fishing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, James D. Barnes of Ellsworth; sons, James A. Barnes of Mariaville and Daniel M. Barnes and wife, Cheryl, of Ellsworth; sisters, Marjorie Jordan of Waltham and Harriet Sprague of Otis; grandchildren, Jeremy and Nathan; great-grandson, Hunter; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank Frost, Owen Frost and Harold Frost; and sisters, Phyllis Spencer, Elizabeth Boss and Doris Edgecomb. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
