LINCOLN and OLD TOWN – Mrs. Theresa A. Edwards, 90, died June 19, 2009, at a Lincoln hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, the daughter of Louis and Eveline (Poirier) Desroches. Theresa served as a pilot in the Canadian Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in Labrador. Theresa was a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, for many years. She is survived by one son, Guy and his wife, Niki Carmel, of Old Town; one granddaughter, Abygail Carmel of Greenbush; and one grandson, Argos Carmel of Greenbush. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Interment will be after in the family lot at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
