SMYRNA – Raymond Desrosiers, 63, died June 21, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 14, 1946, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Edward and Lena (George) Desrosiers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Linneus Fire Department for 13 years. In addition to his mother of Liverpool, Pa., he is survived by his wife, Iris, whom he married July 24, 2004; three stepchildren, Rebecca and her husband, Fred Smith, of Easton, Florence Joseph of Houlton, and Matthew McPherson of Fort Fairfield; six grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary Murphy, Silas VanDine, Layne Leonard, Samantha Ofria and Elijah McPherson; one sister, Laurel Lindsey and her husband, James, of Liverpool, Pa.; half sister, Jeanne Olden and her husband, Robert, of Enfield, Conn.; several close friends, Shirlet Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Janet Desrosiers, Mona Araz, Dwayne Kauffman and many others; and his Visiting Nurses of Aroostook nurses, Jane Zimmerman and Carol Stewart. He was predeceased by his father; three brothers, Edward, Ronald and Junior; and one sister, Audrey. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
